Since restricting access for a few collectors who only wanted to benefit from the catalog without being willing to give something back in return, the atmosphere has become much calmer and more positive for me. Maintaining the catalog has become enjoyable again because I can focus on a community that appreciates the project, shares the same passion and supports it. I can spend my time improving the catalog instead of having to explain the same issue over and over again.

I was also very happy to receive a letter from Barbara and Joachim with their latest finds. Contributions like these are exactly what make all the effort worthwhile. Thank you, both of you!

I have found that the problem has not yet been fully resolved.

Unfortunately, some of the security measures are currently blocking legitimate users as well. In particular, the Table of Contents is not working for the collectors. I am investigating the issue and will try to resolve it as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.

Since yesterday the catalog website was affected by an unusually high number of automated requests from AI-related bots, at times reaching several hundred accesses per second. This caused the site to become very slow and, in some cases, pages could no longer be displayed properly.

With the help of technical support, most of this unwanted traffic has now been blocked, significantly reducing the load on the server. I hope this has resolved the recent performance problems and that the catalog is now running normally again.

Thanks for your input. The “country of origin” is indeed not highlighted in white, but it is still explicitly stated on the label. In the “EU agriculture” group, the origin is consistently missing altogether.

It’s a bit of a borderline case, but for me it makes more sense to assign it to “country of origin” than to “EU agriculture”.
