Today, it contains more than 31,000 different labels, dating back to 1913 with the legendary AFC Tiko Kamerun, and spans over 4,400 brands across more than 7,000 catalog pages. Beyond its size, the catalog includes countless labels that have never been published anywhere else, such as Alonso, Balea, Galapagos, Jacko, Meloripe or Super Lala Banana. All of these are brought together in one place, supported by fast and highly refined search functions designed specifically for collectors.
Creating this catalog has been a true labor of love, driven by passion, curiosity and persistence. Building the technical foundation, hosting the platform, programming, and digitizing collections has required not only several thousand euros, but also thousands of hours of careful work - scanning, comparing, merging, testing, and constantly improving quality. Many collectors have contributed along the way, most notably Peter and Anastasia. Without this shared dedication, none of this would exist. This catalog is not just a project - it is something we deeply care about, shaped by a genuine love for collecting banana labels.
The journey does not end here. To keep the catalog alive, it must be constantly evolving - every month around 150 to 250 new labels appear. At the same time, we are continuously refining the quality, replacing older or lower-resolution images with precise 300 dpi scans on a subtle banana-yellow background. The catalog is not static. It grows, improves, and becomes more valuable with every contribution. It is our foundation - like the Brockhaus, the Michel Stamp Catalog, or a Wikipedia of our hobby - concentrated knowledge, unique in scope and depth, and unmatched anywhere else.
